These air to air shots look easier than they are. The two aircraft are in constant motion with each other and the stormy day added considerably to air aircraft movements. Adding the the positional movements, you shoot out in the open cold wind with the canopy open. All this creates a very active environment. Unlike shooting jet aircraft, you need to shoot propeller airplanes using a relatively slow shutter speed; otherwise the props look stopped. As the airplanes circle, the lighting/shadows are continually changing. It is a lot of fun!
