One evening I walked on a southern Oregon beach and crossed a small creek which reflected a bright golden color of a hill which was illuminated by the setting sun. My dark shadow in the sand contracted the silky shinny water in the creak, it looked very attractive. I repositioned myself so the shadow would interact with the river and the some blue sky would enter the picture. I took a shot with my Cannon Powershot S100 in Raw file. For the post modification, at the first I used Photoshop to modified contrast and Posterize the image, but the result is not so satisfied. The unfinished image sat there for more than a year before I had new ideas and start to work on it again. This time I also have a new tool: Nik Color Efex Pro. After tried a few filter combinations, then the colors twisting, finally I got the itching effect I liked.
