This is a shot made in Oporto´s House of Music. It´s just an amazing place to shoot. Outside of the building there are these tunels linking the outside space of the building to the streets around. Then, in the south facade, this side where the picture was taken, there are also a space for a promenade with those steps. The floor of the promenade is made of metal grids and the floor in the rest of the outside space of the building is all made of beautiful big stones. I thought composing with all this negative space, for a minimal composition feeling, and for that just playing with those two different textures of the floor and the lensbaby composer pro controled and directed blur in the steps producing some blades or arrows to achieve some visual direction for the tunel. I tried some shots to tune the tilt shift of the lens for that purpose and then I think I was just lucky with the girl passing by with that personal body language on her walking style.
