This is a shot made with a 500mm analogue mirror lens in the beach dunes near my place. I recently bought this lens and I wanted to try it in the open space with hard light conditions that the beach can offer that time of the year. I shot a little bit of everything but the pictures I liked the most of that day were the dune shots, just because the beautiful "donut" bokeh mixed with the "small macro" magnification effect of the 500mm. The herbes in the dunes looked to me as a great subject matter for those purposes I wanted to achieve. The idea for a triptych came to me when I was playing with the scale of the picture in post processing and I decided to process it in this format just because the graphic effect of the herbes and the scale play were like a natural invitation for it. I tried to reach the warm feel that I also wanted for the picture with some soft duotone and I choose the tones from the pantone palette just because I know it very well and the search for the tones was more easy to me.
