The elegant curving spiral of a wrought iron railing leads gracefully up a set of dog-leg stairs, from the cathedral crypt to the nave. I'd long wanted to capture the iron spiral, the receding stairs, and the ribbed vaulting above the middle landing, but for several years, none of my lenses were wide enough to achieve it properly.
