L’islande, c’est un peu le paradis des photographes. C’est pourquoi nous avons décidé d’aller y passer deux semaines, en camping car, avec deux amis photographe, Sylvain et Beboy. Ce pays regorge de paysages a couper le souffles avec des ambiances pesantes, tout droit sorties des livres de Tolkien, des chuttes d’eau gigantesques, des etandues à pertes de vues, des volcans, des glaciers... Pour les photographes de paysage, le pays entier est source d’inspiration, mais le point négatif, c’est que les photos des paysages islandais se multiplies sur le web et les livres, et il devient difficile d’innover et de trouver des cadrages interressant, qui sortent de l’ordinaire. J’ai donc réalisé beaucoup de photos de «touristes», juste pour le plaisir, sans savoir si je passerais beaucoup de temps sur des traitement poussés. La cascade de Skogafoss est l’une des plus célébre chutte d’eau d’islande. Non seulement de part sa taille et son débit, mais egalement puisqu’elle est proche de la route du littoral, et donc très facile d’accés. J’aime les poses longues, en particulier pour les cascades et bords de mer, j’avais donc dans l’idée de réaliser une pause très longue devant cette chutte d’eau, avec un traitement en noir et blanc, bien contrasté. Et puis lors du traitement, j’ai repensé a mes deux amis, avec qui nous avions essayé d’approcher, en vain, tellement la violence et la force de l’eau etait puissante. Nous nous etions dit, a ce moment là, qu’un corps humain, la dessous, serait complétement ecrasé. Au même moment, j’ai repensé a «Shiriu», chevalier du dragon dans le célébre dessin animé «les chevaliers du zodiaque», qui arrivait a ralentir, et inverser le cours de l’eau, rien qu’avec un coup de poing. Je me suis dit qu’une création surnaturel, d’un personnage qui serait présenté comme ayant le pouvoir de stopper le cours de l’eau, et de controler la nature pourrait vraiment faire quelque chose qui sort de l’ordinaire, sur ce lieu pourtant extrêmement photographié. Le titre de cette photo «la colère du dragon» est donc directement en référence avec ce dessin animé.
