This image is about a young African woman. She was born and raised in South Tyrol, Austria, neverheless the lady always felt herself a part of African culture. Every day she struggles with the lingering guilt of not being able to relate to their family’s traditional past. I had no chance to get traditional african clothes, so i decided to shoot the model with closed eyes. In this way I was able to transfer the idea of a mental isolation from present and establish the link between the model and her past.
