This Screech Owl lives in a tree in a parking lot of a very busy marina. I had heard about this owl for a couple of years and can't tell you how shocked I was when I realized where this tree is. I had never been there before, but was told the owl can be found at the marina. There are many trails behind the marina and I wondered just how I was going to be lucky enough to find this owl. I thought I was going to have to ask others if they knew where this owl was. Well, I pulled into the parking lot, got out of the car and saw a tripod and photographer shooting up in a tree about 40' away from my car!! It was great to finally find my first owl, but I was looking forward to the "hunt", you know? LOL
