Sebastian Graf
- Lives (lived) in Germany
Hi there,
I have been with this community for almost three years now and still like it. I especially love the kind way people interact here and the very large variety of different aspects of photography. I do not believe in rules. I especially...
- ... do not believe in the 2/3 rule
- ... do not believe in the "never put something in the center of the frame" rule
- ... do not believe in the "the model must always have eye contact with the photographer" rule
- ... do not believe in the "never put it too close to the end of the frame" rule
- ... do not believe in the "you can always fix it in post" rule
- ... do not believe in the "never cut a hand, leg or whatever" rule
- ... do not believe in the "a picture shall only have one point of interest" rule
IMHO rules kill creativity and are the exact opposite of art! If the application of rules is the most important thing the result will be average and mainstream at best...
So if you decide to comment on my pictures, feel free to do so, but please do not refer to any kind of rule from a more or less valuable $10 handbook about photography. Instead of this please tell me what feelings my pictures create inside your heart, because I believe this is exactly what it's all about and nothing else (besides the light of course ;-) )...
Enjoy my portfolio and take care.
Sebastian
